Need to Know
Seeing as you have found yourself here, in the realms of my blog, I can only assume that you’re interested in who I am; so I will introduce myself, as honestly as I can, sans waffle.
My name is Katie Charlotte, I’m 19 years of age and I’m a student of History and French at the University of Liverpool. One day, I hope to be a published – and hopefully successful – author. These are the basics, if you don’t want to learn anything more complex about me then venture no further.
I’m a young adult who’s just starting to find herself and her place in the world; I’m developing my future aspirations, coming to terms with my personality and my interests and my beliefs. I am voyaging on the journey that is self-discovery, and learning all the way. I consider myself a feminist, but essentially I’m opposed to all forms of prejudice that take place, regardless of what social group is on the receiving end. I’m an advocate of education, ignorance is no excuse for hatred.
I like to consider myself as someone who works outside the “norm box”. My classical horror film collection is to die for, no one else can harbour such an intense and guiltless love for Voorhees, Kruger, Myers and Ghost Face. I am still and will always be a fan of the 80′s cartoon Danger Mouse; and yes, I buy and read Sonic the Hedgehog Comics without a hint of shame. I know almost every line from the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, Sherlock Holmes is one of my most beloved literary heroes, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer is my all-time feminist icon – closely followed by Elizabeth Bennet, from the original novel or the one with the zombies. Not too fussed.
Add zombies to anything and I’ll love it.
So there you are. Quirky. Pretty much sums it up, yeah? :)
